About Fear Farm IE
Founded 25 years ago in the high desert of Phelan, CA, Fear Farm began as a family-based haunted attraction created by Rix Boker and his family. Over the years, Fear Farm expanded on its original 3-acre property, quickly becoming the premier professional haunt in the high desert. In 2019, Rix expanded Fear Farm’s reach by showcasing the haunt at conventions like Transworld, Midsummer Scream, and CreepIE. In 2023, Fear Farm was featured on the Amazon Original reality show Make Me Scream. Alongside his work in the haunt industry, Rix is also the lead singer of the popular rock band Firing on All Cylinders.
Matt Gagnier began his journey in the haunt industry at age 12, starting with a home haunt. By 18, he had joined Knott’s Scary Farm as a scare actor, spending six years haunting the streets of Camp Snoopy and Ghost Town. Matt later took his talents abroad, joining Fear Kingdom in the UK. In 2013, he launched KEYS2FEAR Productions, and later worked with iconic haunts such as Coffin Creek, Sinister Pointe, and Castle Dark in Riverside, CA. In 2022, Matt pushed the boundaries of the haunted attraction experience by creating Nightmare at Dos Lagos, a competitive survival experience in Corona, CA.
In 2024, Rix Boker and Matt Gagnier merged Fear Farm and KEYS2FEAR Productions to form the Inland Empire’s newest scream park: Fear Farm IE. Featuring five new haunted attractions, including three terrifying mazes, a haunted hayride, and an adrenaline-pumping zombie run-and-gun hunt, Fear Farm IE offers spooky entertainment for all ages. From the family-friendly Haunted Hayride to the chilling Sundown Manor and Barniby Rust’s Circus Carnage, as well as the extreme Zombie Survival Experience (Fight or Flight), there's something for everyone.
“Our mission is to bring new, immersive, and innovative haunted attractions to the Inland Empire and set a new standard for independent haunts across the country,” says co-owner Matt Gagnier.
